Our beach/Nuestra playa

Not the greatest beach in the world, but it is home for now. This is a surfer's view of the cliff overlooking the waves. We have walked up and down that trail many times and summer sun time is just around the corner.

No es la mejor playa del mundo, pero es nuestra casa por ahora. Está es una vista que tendría un surfista desde el mar para arriba. Hemos bajado y subido ese camino muchas veces y el verano viene luego para tomar sol abajo.

Pablo Neruda

Pablo Neruda lived an incredible life. Even people who know nothing about his poetry are blown away when they visit his houses. Such as eclectic personality. These are photos from his house on Isla Negra. He collected trinkets from all over the world and put them inside. We can only imagine what it must have been like to be invited to a party there in its heyday.


Pablo Neruda vivió una vida increíble. No importa si hay personas que no sepan nada de su poesía, están tan sorprendidas cuando visiten a sus casas. Una persona tan ecléctica. Éstas son fotos de su casa en Isla Negra. Coleccionó cosas de todo el mundo y las puso adentro. Sólo podemos imaginar como habría sido invitado a su casa en su momento peak.

Pisco and Vino

Just shared a real good bottle of wine from Chile last night. An award winner they say. The vineyards in the central valleys and up north really show why the wine is so good. These are from a trip up north in 2005. Got to sample pisco at the factories. Head to your local BevMo and try a few.

We've had plenty of excuses to get together with friends and family. Some live close by and other live far, really far.

First Post/Primer Contacto

Pichilemu is one of our favorite places in the world. We just always seem to score. This time we rented a cabin overlooking one of the left points in town. The waves were so good this weekend at Lobos, I never even bothered to surf out front. Ale and I had the best time. Cheers to Pichilemu!

Pichilemu es uno de nuestros lugares favoritos. Siempre nos tocan buenas olas. Esta vez, arrendamos una cabaña con vista de una de las izquierdas del pueblo. Las olas eran tan buenas ese fin de semana en lobos que nunca fui a surfear allí. Ale y yo pasamos la raja. Saludos a Pichilemu!


Should have turned and burned! Probably just got off a long one and was paddling up the point. Walking always works better.

Debería haber corrido esa! A lo mejor acabé de correr una larga y estoy remando hacia los morros. Caminando siempre funciona mejor.

Post surf food. Very typical of the Chilean Coast. This was actually from New Year's Day after a long night out dancing until 6 in the morning. Almost makes you feel buzzed again.
