Trips/Viajes

These are from a mini trip we took in 2005 to the north of Chile. Pisco Elqui to be exact. Very mysterious valley where they make the drink Pisco and people believe they see UFOs and aliens. Definitely a cool place to relax in.

Estas son de un mini viaje que tomamos en 2005 al norte de Chile. Pisco Elqui para ser exacto. Es un valle muy misterioso donde hacen el trago Pisco y hay gente que dice que haya visto ovnis y extraterrestres. De todas maneras un buen lugar para relajarse.

Neighborhood/Vecindario

We live in a very atypical neighborhood. Really quiet with lots of unique businesses and sights to see. We like to just walk around or ride bikes to get to where we are going. 1,00,000,00 better than where we used to live. Maybe now with a few vacation days we can enjoy it even more.

Vivimos en un vecindario único. Es muy tranquilo con muchos negocios interesantes y cosas para ver. Nos gusta caminar o andar por bicicleta para llegar a los lugares. 1,000,000,000 mejor en comparación a donde vivimos antes. Quizás con unos días de vacaciones podemos disfrutarlo aun más.

It was a long process to get the house done. Many people never saw what the place that used to be here looked like. Can't even imagine living in that flamingo house. Thought we would share some of the photos we took. We even have a painting of the old place for good karma.

Fue un proceso largo para terminar la casa. Mucha gente nunca vio como se veía la casa que estaba aquí antes. No podemos imaginar como seria vivir en la casa de flamingos. Pensamos que seria una oportunidad para compartir fotos. Incluso tenemos una pintura de la casa vieja para buena karma.

Our beach/Nuestra playa

Not the greatest beach in the world, but it is home for now. This is a surfer's view of the cliff overlooking the waves. We have walked up and down that trail many times and summer sun time is just around the corner.

No es la mejor playa del mundo, pero es nuestra casa por ahora. Está es una vista que tendría un surfista desde el mar para arriba. Hemos bajado y subido ese camino muchas veces y el verano viene luego para tomar sol abajo.

Pablo Neruda

Pablo Neruda lived an incredible life. Even people who know nothing about his poetry are blown away when they visit his houses. Such as eclectic personality. These are photos from his house on Isla Negra. He collected trinkets from all over the world and put them inside. We can only imagine what it must have been like to be invited to a party there in its heyday.


Pablo Neruda vivió una vida increíble. No importa si hay personas que no sepan nada de su poesía, están tan sorprendidas cuando visiten a sus casas. Una persona tan ecléctica. Éstas son fotos de su casa en Isla Negra. Coleccionó cosas de todo el mundo y las puso adentro. Sólo podemos imaginar como habría sido invitado a su casa en su momento peak.
