SB fires/Incendios de Santa Barbara

California is always on the news for the fires we have. The recent fires in SB were especially bad and we know a few people that were evacuated. These are pictures from a friend that was there. Ale and I took a trip up there a few years ago and considered even living there. Hundreds of million dollar homes were burned and the city was a ghost town.

Los incendios de California siempre salen por las noticias. Los últimos incendios en Santa Bárbara fueron especialmente fuertes y conocemos unas personas que fueron evacuadas. Estas fotos son de un amigo que estaba allí. Ale y yo fuimos hace un par de anos y incluso consideramos vivir allá. Centenares de casas que valen millones de dólares fueron quemadas y la cuidad era vacía.

Chef Zach

Zach was here last month. Fresh out of chef school, he made some amazing food for us to try. It was a relaxing weekend of excellent food, wine and laughs.

Zach estuvo aquí el mes pasado. Recién salió de una escuela de chef, nos preparó comida increíble. Fue un fin de semana muy relajante con comida, vino y risas.

Trips/Viajes

These are from a mini trip we took in 2005 to the north of Chile. Pisco Elqui to be exact. Very mysterious valley where they make the drink Pisco and people believe they see UFOs and aliens. Definitely a cool place to relax in.

Estas son de un mini viaje que tomamos en 2005 al norte de Chile. Pisco Elqui para ser exacto. Es un valle muy misterioso donde hacen el trago Pisco y hay gente que dice que haya visto ovnis y extraterrestres. De todas maneras un buen lugar para relajarse.

Neighborhood/Vecindario

We live in a very atypical neighborhood. Really quiet with lots of unique businesses and sights to see. We like to just walk around or ride bikes to get to where we are going. 1,00,000,00 better than where we used to live. Maybe now with a few vacation days we can enjoy it even more.

Vivimos en un vecindario único. Es muy tranquilo con muchos negocios interesantes y cosas para ver. Nos gusta caminar o andar por bicicleta para llegar a los lugares. 1,000,000,000 mejor en comparación a donde vivimos antes. Quizás con unos días de vacaciones podemos disfrutarlo aun más.
